Pokdarwis Bonjeruk Permai was established on March 21, 2018, and officially inaugurated by the Head of the Tourism Office of Central Lombok Regency during a ceremony held at Bonjeruk Bamboo Market. Comprising 25 young members from diverse backgrounds and skills, the organization shares one mission — to develop Bonjeruk Village into a sustainable and competitive tourism destination.

Its mission is to realize Bonjeruk Village as a clean, cultured, independent, and competitive community, guided by the principle of sustainability in every initiative.

Through cultural, culinary, educational, and eco-based tourism programs, Pokdarwis actively engages the local community to preserve their heritage while improving livelihoods.

Over the years, Pokdarwis Bonjeruk Permai has successfully attracted local, domestic, and international visitors through tour packages, culinary experiences, and cultural art performances.

These efforts have not only promoted Bonjeruk’s identity but also created business and employment opportunities for nearly 300 local residents.

They celebrate creativity by reviving and supporting traditional arts and performances, exploring rich culture, turning culture into both a source of pride and a sustainable livelihood.

Rooted in the principles of ecotourism and aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the community works to protect their heritage while shaping a greener and more inclusive future.

Through community empowerment, skills training, and the growth of local entrepreneurs, Bonjeruk is building a circular economy, every small action supports people, nature, and progress together.
